The Snowball Project - Round II
MUSIC
MUSIC
The latest releases from the Snowball Project are now out - Schwitzen and Dying on Stage (Live in Zurich).
Schwitzen was our first experiment in creating electronic music, albeit with frying hamburgers and analogue keyboards. The single also comes with four remixes by Joey Hansom, Southmind, Dan Untitled and Giorgio Antonelli.

The Snowball Project - Round I
Our first two releases from The Snowball Project - Monster and Mamsell Bleuet.
The self-funded first round was our first excursion into creating songs in a studio setting in a way that we could not recreate on stage, experimenting especially with multiple overdubs of voices, and an intimacy and clarity of sound that we avoided on the debut album.

JULIA
A six-track selection of pieces we contributed to the soundtrack of J. Jackie Baier's 2013 documentary film Julia, released for the first time as a digital download in early 2016.
We worked with string instruments, squeezeboxes and drones, along with structures and imagery from Lithuanian folk song, and combined these with sampled sound from Berlin's streets to reflect the journey of the film's enigmatic protagonist.

BECAUSE YOU WOULDN'T PLAY TENNIS WITH FREDDY
Cover by Tatjana Erpen (2012)
Our 2012 debut album, Because You Wouldn't Play Tennis With Freddy is an excerise in storytelling and experimentation with the emotionality we discovered in the music we started creating together. Though the musical style shifts over the course of the concept album, the whole is linked by a cycle of grief and joy, and tied together by a gritty, live-feeling recording approach. Vulnerable and rocking at the same time, the limited release album set us up for an exciting musical future.

"...an album that strikes every mood, and which oscillates between the grave and the beautiful, between broadly grinning and deeply touching."
