My first experiences as a live performer were as a dancer, and at age 15 I began performing with the Maidment Youth Theatre in Auckland, making physical theatre. After leaving school I moved to Wellington and co-founded dance-theatre-design collaborative all and sundry.
With that collective I toured to Melbourne, where I lived and performed in the late 90s. It was while in Australia that I met writer and kabarettist Elis Bihn, who inspired me to visit Berlin for the first time in 2001.
My two-week visit has lasted 18 years, so far. In that time I have performed in kabarett, chanson, dance and theatre performances here and throughout Europe, and from 2003 - 2017 had my own music-centred performance project Princessin Hans. I've also appeared in a few films, directed pieces of my own and worked together with many collaborators.
